Hrithik Roshan and Kangana Ranaut’s legal battle turns ugly

It looks like it only gets nastier from here for Hrithik Roshan and Kangana Ranaut, who have been sparring for a while now. But the war is now off social media as both stars have issued legal notices to each other.
What began with Kangana calling Hrithik a “silly ex” and Hrithik fending off the idea with a tweet that said there were more chances of him having an affair with a Pope, has turned into a much uglier battle. Hrithik slapped a notice on Kangana that not only demands she apologises to him but also states that she sent him “senseless, personal and absurd” emails, amounting to a total of 1439 in number, which he threatened to make public if she didn’t apologise publicly.
Kangana showed no signs of backing down either, responding to the legal notice with a counter claim. She alleges that there was an exchange of emails, which occurred only after Hrithik allegedly created an email-id to correspond with her without hampering his divorce proceedings and is now covering his tracks. She also claims that the actor even went to the lengths of hacking into her account and deleting his end of the emails, which he claims were sent by an impostor to her.
But the plot thickens. Hrithik alleges that Kangana is suffering from Asperger’s Syndrome, which makes her imagine scenarios and this is a repercussion of just that. Moreover, the notice claims that even her attempts to confront Rakesh Roshan and ask him to discipline his son were voided when senior Roshan responded to indicate that Hrithik is in no way interested in Kangana. The convoluted situations becomes more so as Kangana retaliates with the claim that Hrithik invited her to “private” parties with his family, most notably those to celebrate his sister’s and father’s birthday, thus cementing the idea that the two actors were more than professionally linked.
Adding fuel to the existing fire, Kangana claims that the figure of 50 emails a day is an exaggerated one, further blowing holes in Hrithik’s complaint saying that since there was no objection when any emails were received, it entails participation and consent, since Hrithik gave Kangana his email id at a party when he realised she had been receiving praise for her performance in Queen (which he had not watched) from an impostor. Being the headstrong woman she is, Kangana further added that she didn’t need to use Hrithik to garner any fame from their link-up or the ongoing tussle, as she is successful enough on her own. She ended with a strong statement, which says that if Hrithik made any of the emails or matter public, she would pursue him with criminal charges, and gave him a seven-day ultimatum to withdraw his notice.
With so much coming to light so fast, we wonder if there’s any solution to it all and it all comes down to see who blinks first in this one-of-a-kind staring match.
